The LSI SAS 9300-16i is a high-performance 12Gb/s SAS Host Bus Adapter designed for enterprise storage and server applications. With 16 internal SAS/SATA lanes delivered through four SFF-8643 Mini-SAS HD connectors, it provides a reliable connection for multiple hard drives and SSDs. This adapter is particularly suitable for TrueNAS, ZFS, Unraid and other software-defined storage platforms when operating in IT Mode. IT Mode allows connected drives to be presented directly to the operating system without traditional hardware RAID abstraction.
